Anna and Johnny
This tune is called called "Hobb Dye". Johnny learned it from someone in California, who learned it from, who learned it from....
Me and Johnny Moynihan
OK, I'm a name dropper! He's the fellow who introduced the bozouki to Irish music. Today we've been playing our fiddles!
I suppose
Don, do you recognize this hero from our past. I actually originally learned Sally Brown from him. Think, P is for Paddy I suppose!
Jackie on the B/C
He says D minor tunes lay great on this configuration. He stays away the chords as he enough to do keeping track of the melody!
Jackie
Another fantastic session today.
For those of you who recall DeDannan they played a jig called Jackie Small's. This is Jackie. He's a fabulous box player who I had an extended conversation with. He also plays a bit of Irish pipes and knows "Benedict" of Vermont by emails.
And he has requested a Blackbird CD! Very nice fellow, living in County Mayo not far from Galway.

He's got magic in the palm of his hand!
My friend Don and I are Skyping between Ireland and Vermont. The moon is out here. The sun is out there.
