The Norman English would arrive in 1169, the beginning of colonization until the Republic formed in the 1920's following the Easter Rebellion in 1916 and killing of Michael Collins without trial.

I cannot believe my extraordinary good fortune this morning to find myself having met Ronan Kelly. I've been listening to his documentaries on RTE for years now.
